WELCOME TO KVK
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ghatkhed, Amravati (KVK) is run by Shramsafalya Foundation, Amravati. Shramsafalya Foundation is an non governmental organization established in 1994. Since then the organization is engaged in Social, Educational activities. The KVK is imparting technical know-how to the farmers at their doorsteps through various program’s and packages especially in the field of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Watershed Development and  soil conservation.            
Location : Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ghatkhed, Amravati is situated 14 km away from the district headquarter on Amravati to Chandur Railway road near Tapowaneshwar Temple.
Operational area : Operational area of this KVK encompasses sevent Talukas of Amravati district namely Achalpur, Chandur Bazar, Chandur Railway, Chikhaldara, Dhamangaon Railway, Dharni and Tiosa.
KVK MANDATE 
1. Collaborate   with the subject matter specialists of the State Agriculture Universities/Scientists of   the Regional Research Station (NARP and the State Extension Personnel) in conducting   "On Farm Testing” for identifying technologies in terms of location specific sustainable land use syste

2. Organise training to update the extension personnel within the area of operation with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis.

3. Organise short long- term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on “learning by doing” for generating   self - employment.
